Socotra

Yemen

Socotra is one of Earth's most alien landscapes - a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the "Galapagos of the Indian Ocean." One-third of its plant species exist nowhere else, including the iconic dragon blood trees with their umbrella-like canopies and the bizarre bottle trees. This Yemeni island offers otherworldly scenery, pristine beaches, and unique biodiversity.
